From "Between Long Lake and Last Mountain":
The old cemetery located on the SW 20-24-21, more than two miles south east of Strassburg, was the first cemetery for the Strassburg community and area.  This land was originally applied for by Karl Klatt in 1884 and J. A. Howse homesteaded it in 1903.  A memo dated Feb 24, 1902 allocated two acres for a road, as there was not a regular road allowance to the graveyard.  By a special grant the R.M. of Strassburg No. 220 acquired 7.33 acres as the cemetery site.  The earliest grave marker found belongs to a Christine Schaller who was born 1844 and died in 1889.  Many of the pioneers of our area, and their families are buried here.  The cemetery has been neglected and poorly kept for many years.  Some graves are not marked and some headstones are broken.  It is unknown where the records to the cemetery are or why it was discontinued and a new site choosen.
