In the hamlet there was a store (owned by Jack Gulch) , an elevator (run by Burley Houston) later moved to Grainland, a dance hall and section crew. https://cdm22007.contentdm.oclc.org/digital/collection/p22007coll8/id/131733

The CRP telegraph index listed Aiktow in 1898 as station number 7483.

It is still listed on a Saskatchewan Wheat Pool map of the Outlook area from 1924.
