In the hamlet there was a store , two grain elevators (later moved to Grainland), a dance hall and section crew.

The CRP telegraph index listed Aiktow in 1898 as station number 7483.

It is still listed on a Saskatchewan Wheat Pool map of the Outlook area from 1924.
